2014 Provincial Games
The city of Humboldt is the site for the 2014 Provincial 55+ Games. If the experience of the 2004 games in Humboldt is upheld, we can expect their citizens
will give us a very good time there July 8-10 2014.
2014 Canada 55+ Games Site Named
The 2014 Canada 55+ Games will be held in Strathcona County, Alberta, August 27 to 30, 2014. Check their website to see what will be happening: www.strathcona.ca/55plus
Annual General Meeting
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Saskatchean Senior Fitness Association will be held Wednesday, June 5 at 10:30 a.m. at the Highland Curling Club, 348 Broad Street.
Provincial 55+ 2012 Games Ice Curling
Ice curling was held March 27-29 in Canora. A social, banquet and
entertainment added to the occasion. Eighteen teams from five different districts competed.

Provincial 55+ 2012 Games
Saskatoon hosted 14 other 55+ intellectual and physical games, July 3-5,
2012. 472 participants competed and 105 guests attended for a total of
577. Social activities, held primarily at Prairieland Park, included
opening ceremonies with a participants' march-in (led by three pipers)
and speeches by invited dignitaries. The next evening featured a banquet
and an after-dinner appearance by guest speaker Steve Shannon, who
received a standing ovation at the conclusion of his most entertaining
address. At each of these events, including the official closing
ceremonies, participants took advantage of the opportunity to socialize
with fellow participants, renewing old friendships and forming new
ones. Results.

Canada 55+ 2012 Games
Saskatchewan was represented by 119 athletes, with participants coming
from eight districts to compete August 29-September 1 in Sydney, Nova
Scotia. Forty-five guests from Saskatchewan travelled to support the
athletes. Entertainment included Rita MacNeil and the Men of the
Deeps.The competitors on the Saskatchewan Team celebrated their
achievements in winning a total of 75 medals, 36 gold, 24 silver, and 15
bronze medals.
