2015 & 2016 District Games

SSFA districts hold games activities each year. If you are interested in participating, locate and contact your district to become a member. Those who qualify from district games activities may choose to advance to the Provincial 55+ Games, if they wish.

2016 Provincial 55+ Games

The Provincial 55+ Games will be held in July 5, 6 & 7, 2016 in the Battlefords.

The following events will be offered: Golf, 5 pin bowling, contract bridge, cribbage, pickleball, ice curling + 2 person stick curling, Kaiser, poetry & short story writing, swimming, scrabble, bocce, whist, bank shuffleboard, 8 ball, slo-pitch, track & field, tennis and ice hockey.

Refer to the SSFA Rulebook for the list of events held at the district and provincial games.

2014 Provincial 55+ Games

FINAL RESULTS of the 2014 Provincial 55+ Games (Humboldt)

On July 8, 9 & 10, Humboldt was the host to 541 participants and 69 guests. Seven participants were 90+ years of age. 53% of the participants registered for the Canada 55+ Games in August. A good time was had by all!

2016 Canada 55+ Games Site Named

The 2016 Canada 55+ Games will be held in Brampton, Ontario, August 16 to 19, 2016. Brampton is 10 minutes from the Lester B. Pearson International Airport. More information to follow.

2014 Canada 55+ Games

The Canada 55+ Games were held in Strathcona County, Alberta on August 27 to 30. Participants and guests from provinces across Canada, Yukon and North West Territories arrived and they were excited! Excluding guests, 2000 participants marked the largest games since the inception of the games in Regina in 1996.

Saskatchewan had a representation of 295 participants and 86 guests for a total of 381. Saskatchewan ranked second in the number of medals won – 59 gold, 46 silver and 37 bronze for a total of 142 medals.”
